Nutrimost - Day 33 - My Body is Being Really Stubborn

My NutriMost Experience

I actually gained a little from yesterday. And honestly I am really losing faith. I am pretty much starving myself at this point and I am not losing any weight. I have already lost of ton of weight so I don't want to seem spoiled, but I'm also really ready to get back to eating regular portion sizes. To get me through these last 10 days or so, I need to remind myself that, as with everything, there are ups and downs.

Silver Lining

My wife has been very patient with me during all of this. I felt like I needed a rant this morning. My son and I are very grumpy when we wake up, and you put an empty stomach on top of that and I will tell you what I'm thinking. Fortunately before I left for work, I was able to let her know I love her and that I was just being grumpy and hungry (humpy... no wait that's not right) and that I am still going to hang in there. She was very understanding! 

Another More Drastic Plateau Breaker

Also, since I have been stalling for three days now, my doctor said it's time to do a more drastic plateau breaker: The Steak Day. I love steak so I was pretty excited. I remember seeing somewhere that you could eat like a huge piece of steak and nothing else all day. Well... this is not quite the case. What I actually had remembered reading was the Phase 4 method of keeping your weight in it's set point. The Phase 2 steak day was a little different. 

The Phase 2 steak day entails eating nothing all day until dinner, and then eating 1 3oz portion of extremely lean steak. You could accompany the meal with an organic tomato or an apple. You can also drink as much coffee, tea and water as you like. I will give it a try, and let you know how it turns out. I have a feeling I will be pretty hungry when it is time to eat that tiny piece of meat. Oh well... no pain, no gain. 

I am also supposed to up my energy drops to 25 for the rest of Phase 2.
