Nutrimost - Day 31 - Perseverance and Coconut Oil

My NutriMost Experience

I'm in a stall. No not a bathroom stall... or am I? No really, I have been teetering right around 186 for the last 5 days now. I have to admit when I hopped on the scale today I was a little disappointed that I was in a stand still. I thought for sure that I would have lost weight from yesterday. Being that I am at Day 31, I don't have much time left to reach my goal weight. I still have 10 pounds to lose in just over 10 days.

The Manual Suggests a Plateau Breaker!

So my thinking here is that I am going to have to take a risk and hope it pays off. Hell, this whole program was a risk and look how it has paid off. I am already 20 pounds lighter than when I started, I am sleeping through the night, I haven't had a single panic attack, and I feel like I am finally in control of my system. Hey, is there a point coming?

Oh Yeah, Here's the Scenario Causing the Risk.

See there are a couple of different plateau breakers suggested. I could eat apples all day and spike my system with natural sugars. I could eat nothing all day and have a huge steak, or I could do a coconut oil day. (2 tablespoons total)

Do you remember that game Stratego? It's short description is: "Stratego is a game where skillful planning, clever deception and good memory are used to defeat your opponent. Every time you play the battle is different."

I am about to start a game of NutriMost Stratego where my enemy is my slow metabolism, my planning is to spike it with some fat, and the clever deception is that my body will think needs to work overtime to get rid of it. We will have to wait and see how this battle will turn out.

Blast From the Past

So lets look back in time and use some stats. From Day 1 to Day 10, I lost 9.6 pounds. The only difference between that time span and this one is that I was coming off a load day where I was eating a ton of good fats. My metabolism was working overtime, while little did it know that there wasn't going to be any fat coming in for a long time. Well now, my metabolism is crawling along like a Desert tortoise and if I don't do something, whether it be drastic or subtle, I may not reach my goal. Choosing the right method at this point in the game is somewhat crucial because whatever I decide to do will lock me into a weight for a while.

I think I also need to adhere to an even stricter intake as I am approaching the end of Phase 2. After my spike of fats, I am going to only eat fish, chicken, and very low fat beef and venison. I may cut out bison and beef steak for the rest of the program because they are probably the fattiest of the proteins I have been eating. My thinking is that if I do another load day (this one with only good fats; namely coconut oil) I should notice a slight gain. However, if I really pull back on the fatty proteins, my system may have enough momentum to just let inertia handle the rest.

I guess I'll have to fill you in...
