My NutriMost Experience
It's time for some simple calculations. By doing this program I would like to show you how much money I have saved this month alone. While these numbers will be different for everyone, it was a real eye opener for me as to how quickly consumable expenses can add up.
Going Out to Eat
Let's say that you go out to eat 4 times in a month. That is probably even being conservative since we used to go out like 5-10+ times a month. On average, lets say that with drinks, apps, and entrees you are at $50-75 a pop. We went out to eat 0 times this month, which isn't ideal, however it was necessary to comply with the eating restrictions.
Savings: 4 X $75 = $300
It's easy to get lazy and not want to prepare your own food. Especially after a long day at work and definitely when both people in a relationship work. We have a habit of getting home late and just ordering dinner from somewhere. Each time it normally runs us about 20-30 bucks. In the past we were doing this about 10 -12 times a month. This month we did this 0 times.
Savings: 10 x 30 = $300
In a month I would say that I go through either 1 case of beer or 4-5 six packs. There is also the occasional stopping at the happy hour spot maybe 1-2 times a week depending on the day I've had. This probably makes me an alcoholic, but that discussion is for a different blog post.
Savings: 4-5 six packs X $12 = ~$60 (I don't drink light beers and the beers I drink are kinda pricey)
Savings: 1-2 time a week at $10 x 4 = ~$80
Grocery Store Trips
This one isn't as easy to calculate. We hit the grocery store about 4 times a month and on average the trips run us about $200-240. This month our largest trip was $240 and it only happened once. The rest of the trips were like $120-140. This was because the large trip we got a lot of frozen proteins. We also got crab and shrimp which are fairly expensive items.
Average of Usual = 4 x $200 = $800
Average on NutriMost = 4 x $140 = $560
Savings: $800 - $560 = $240... about a whole grocery trip less expensive.
Totals and Conclusion
So lets see... in one month we saved $980 by just changing the way we consume food. The NutriMost plan itself costs ~ $1500. So by eating clean and not drinking any alcohol we actually get the program for $520 dollars. Also, this calculation is for only 1 month. Next month even though we will be adding some foods back in, our consumption bills will continue to be much less than they were in the past. I like to think of the cost of the NutriMost plan as an investment. In a sense it will actually earn you money while it is giving you the health and body that you have always wanted... wha? Win!
